About Me
Personal
I am a native of Cincinnati, Ohio with a passion for technology, wellness, and
just about anything related to audio. At the age of 24 I realized that I needed to get out
of my comfort zone, so I decided to make the move to Nashville, Tennessee in the
summer of 2019.
Tech
After pursuing musical endeavors full-time for my first year in Nashville, I
came to the conclusion that I needed to find something more
lucrative and engaging. Software development seemed to be a near-perfect balance between
logic-based critical thinking and creative problem-solving. I happened upon
Nashville Software School where I am currently attending their six-month intensive
web development boot camp. I have experience building applications both on an individual
level and in team-based environments with JavaScript and React, as well as styling with
Reactstrap and CSS. Currently my focus is on Python and building databases with Django's REST framework.
I am also familiar with managing project version control and issue tickets using Git and GitHub.
Music Production // Live Performance
I began dabbling into music production in my mid to late teens and I never stopped. My production style is heavily influenced by hip-hop and bass music and it is all done on the computer.
The best thing about producing music is getting to share it with other people, and I do that through my live performances.
This hobby has helped me develop skills that have become extremely valuable in many other aspects of my life. Those skills being patience, organization, efficiency, persistence, networking, and an ability to self-teach.
Audio Engineering
Audio engineering, for me, is the act of mixing and mastering a piece of music. It is a relatively new subject matter for me, and while it still requires creativity, it is a lot more technical
than its music production counter-part, which is more focused on spawning new ideas rathan than solving problems. My passion for audio engineering has grown tremedously over the past few years.
The feeling you get when you can take someone else's piece of music to that release-ready quality while maintaining the original integrity of the song and have them be totally happy with the
results is one of the most rewarding experiences ever.
